Excursions a la Carte

Following the „Route of the white villages“, our journeys destination is Ronda. On the way we visit Arcos de la Frontera. We will stay for approximately 1 hour in this lovely originally village. Continuation to the beautiful historic town Ronda situated in the highland. Ronda is of roman origin, affected by moorish influences and lives its golden times under the Kaliph of Córdoba. Here we will be expected by a tour-guide that will lead us through the historic centre, to the famous bullfighting area, which is the oldest one of Spain, and to the proper museum, to the impressive church Santa Maria la Mayor and through the old town. Corresponding to your wishes we offer you a typical Spanish meal in one of the traditional restaurants of Ronda. Untill departure to your hotel you have free time to enjoy the singular ambiance of the white village.

In the morning we pick you up in your hotel for discovering today the english colony Gibraltar. On the “Route of the bull” we travel through the inland. After passing the frontier of Gibraltar we change for Minibuses and make a panoramic circuit visiting the San Miguel Caves, the Punta Europa and of course the Gibraltar-monkey reserve!  Afterwards we undertake a guided tour through the old town of Gibraltar and you have free time for lunch or a shopping trip. We leave the colony and continue, really contrarily, to Vejer de la Frontera - a beautiful village in a impressive geographical position. On the way back, to top the day off, we will stop in a small Bodega for some Tapas and a glass of good spanish wine.

In coach we depart from your hotel in direction to the province of Cádiz. Our first destination is Jerez de la Frontera. Here we visit the amazing Bodega “Real Tesoro and Valdespino”, typical for this region. We will learn to know how the world famous Sherry is being produced here. Furthermore we have the unique possibility to see the private arts collection of the family Estevez; containing approximately 100 art prints of Picasso, works of Dalí, Miró, etc. Obviously we also will have a tasting in the Bodega of the delicious different types Sherry! We continue to the royal Spanish Riding School and visit there the fascinating performance “Dance of the andalusian horses”.

We drive in coach to Puerto de Santa Maria. Here we will have, in Spanish way, a late lunch, really charming near the harbour. The meal exists of seafood and fried little fishes, the regions delicacies. We leave the harbour and cross the bay of Cádiz by boat. We will undertake a round-trip through Cádiz and afterwards a walk crossing a beautiful park to the historical town and the Populo quarter. Return to your hotel.

After picking you up in your hotel we drive to the village Sanlúcar de Barrameda situated nearby the Natural Park Doñana.  Our exclusive nature-adventure starts with a navigation-trip on the Guadalquivir, departing from the river mouth in the Atlantic coast. Along the way we will learn to know the most impressive parts of the natural park. Doñana is situated in a remarkable landscape, between the Mediterranean and Atlantic regions. This peculiar geographical situation builds a multi-faceted ecological mosaic consisting of beaches, shifting sand dunes and lakes. In the Restaurant “Pescaitos” (little fishes), of regional style, a fabulous Spanish menu awaits you. Afterwards we will experience the fascinating park on a hiking trip very close to the nature. Travel back to your hotel in coach.

After crossing the Gibraltar frontier and reaching the central coach parking, change the coach for Minibuses to undertake a panoramic tour with visits of the San Miguel Caves, the Punta Europa and the monkey reserve. Afterwards we lead you through the old town of Gibraltar. Enjoy Gibraltar on your own! Free time for lunch, shopping… Return journey to your hotel.

Dolphin watching in the Strait of Gibraltar - a great experience! Departure from your hotel. We take the beautiful street following the coast line. After crossing the Gibraltar frontier we arrive at the central coach parking area. The marina is located just a few metres from there; here we are already expected by the “Dolphin World”, a vessel with teak decks and gold-plated fittings, bar saloon, bathrooms, and TV screens showing the submarine environment of the dolphins. Sail at a speed of 10 knots out to  Rock of Gibraltar, Africa, the “Pilares de Hércules” and on Spain. After navigating for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, return to Gibraltar. Until we depart to your hotel you have free time to learn to know Gibraltar.

We meet you at your hotel and drive in direction to Córdoba, passing through the village Antequera. Córdoba, the birth town of the roman philosopher Seneca, was since 929 the metropolis of the caliphate on Spanish territory, and thus a big competitor to Bagdad. Jewish, Moorish and Christian culture lived here, for a short while, peacefully together and left its marks. Especially science an philosophy were of high importance. We will experience the original atmosphere on a guided tour through the historic town centre visiting the roman bridge, the famous Mesquite and the lovely formerly Jewish quarter with the synagogue. Afterwards we are likely to organize a typically Spanish lunch with the regions delicacies. In the afternoon you have free time in Córdoba before you bring you back to your hotel.
